　　Since April 17th, the AAMC has rolled out its redesigned MCAT exam. The new MCAT, also known as MCAT 2015, includes many major changes:

　　AAMC在四月十七日推出了新版MCAT。相关变动如下：

　　1. There are now 4 sections on the MCAT exam:

　　? Biological and Biochemical Foundations of Living Systems

　　? Chemical and Physical foundations of Biological Systems

　　? Psychological, Social, and Biological foundations of Behavior (new!)

　　? Critical Analysis and Reasoning Skills (previously known as Verbal Reasoning)

　　Knowledge of college-level biochemistry is also a new requirement. This means that you will need a total of 11 classes to prepare for the new MCAT, which is the equivalent of two semesters of physics, general chemistry, biology, organic chemistry, and one semester of psychology, sociology, biochemistry.

　　1. 新版MCAT将由四个部分组成：

　　2. With the Critical Analysis and Reasoning Skills (CARS) sectionlasting 90 minutes (53 questions) and the other three sections lasting 95 minutes (59 questions) each, the entire test is now 6 hours and 15 minutes long with a total of 230 questions. During test day you will have a 10-minute break between the first and the second section, then a 30-minute lunch break after the second section, and another 10-minute break between the third and the fourth section. This also means that you will need to bring you own lunch!由于批判性分析和推理技巧部分（CARS）占到90分钟（53道题）以及其他三个部分将占到95分钟（每个部分59道题），整场考试将会花去六小时十五分钟。考试当天你将会在第一部分和第二部分之间获得十分钟休息时间，第二部分完成之后将获得30分钟午餐时间，最后，第三和第四部分之间又有10分钟休息。请务必自带午餐！

The exam also aims to focus on clinical applications of the required knowledge.This may be including passages that introduce certain diseases and ask about the ramifications of those diseases based on your knowledge of biology. Other passages could include data from clinical experiments and ask you to analyze the data. It would be good to pay attention to the medical aspects of each concept required for the MCAT when studying.整场考试将会侧重于把规定范围内的知识点拓展于临床实践。举个例子，考试中可能会用大段的文章来描述一种疾病并且让你用生物学来解答这种疾病可能带来的危害。也有可能会在文章中插入临床试验的的数据让你去分析。因此复习MCAT的时候注意了解每个所需知识点的医学关联将会很有帮助。

　　4. The scoring scale has also changed.Each section will now be scored 118-132, making the highest possible score 528 with an expected mean score of 500 (125 per section).评分标准也被修改了。每个部分的得分将会变成118 – 132，因此，最高分是528，可预计的平均分将会是500（假如每个部分得分125）。

　　5. The exam registration fee is now $300.Applicants who are eligible for the AAMC’s Fee Assistance Program (FAP) will receive a reduced registration fee of $115, free access to studying material, and waiver for a portion of AMCAS fees. You will need supporting documents, so make sure to start gathering information and apply in advance to receive your discount in time.考试报名费改为300刀。符合AAMC费用补助项目的（FAP）同学只需交115刀，免费取得学习资料，并获得一部分的AMCAS费用减免。你需要尽快收集相关证明并提前申请来确保你获得及时的补助。

　　6. There is no longer a 1pm start time— All exams now begin at 8am. This also means less exams will be administered because now each test center can only administer one exam per exam date instead of two.Overall, these changes mean more preparation are required on your end, but don’t let it stress you out.
